Rhode Island Day 1

Dress- H&M necklace- my great grandmother's cardigan- under armour purse- Steve Madden
Hello!
On Thursday my mom, brother, and I headed to Rhode Island for his regional soccer tournament. It wasn't a bad trip there at all and even though we had a little trouble checking in we still had time to look around the city in the evening. I like this outfit a lot because I think it is one of the only ones on this blog that shows my style well; a bit girly and classic but with more neutral colors than the common pinks and purples. I'm going to be posting each day of the trip and a photo diary at the end so stay tuned and have a nice day as well.

At Last (My Arm is Complete)

Dress- Banana Republic Shoes-Guess( I wore them to my
eighth grade graduation as well)
I graduated last night. Those word seem so heavy, and they are, but at the same time I feel more relieved. It's unfortunate that high school has made me a bit cynical and events in my life have made the end of my high school career rather bittersweet, but despite that I was happy because other people and moment in my life so far were able to outshine that last night. The heaviness of the night comes from nervousness. (warning this is going to be cliche but -) this is not the end. There is a whole world I am eager to explore and really soon I will have to make decisions that will define my future and either bring me forward in my life or keep me in the same spot. That's a lot of decision making I'm going to be constantly think about and have restless nights about as well, but right now I just want to remember one thing; As I walked across the stage to receive my diploma I shook the Superintendent of schools hand and he told me,"Keep writing". I will.

PS: The title is from Sweeney Todd. Not really appropriate, but funny =)
My top twenty medal and National Honor Society cords
I hope everyone who has graduated this year had a great time and I hope you are proud of yourself .

Glory Days Ahead

Hello!
Yesterday was officially the first day of summer hooray! I have been anticipating this summer for so long because high school is over for me and I have no summer work to complete and have the time (mostly) free to do whatever I want. That means . . .

And
The Liar, the bitch, and the wardrobe by Allie Kingsley:  A girl caught up in the whirlwind of working for world-famous fashion photographer
yes please =)

And a soundtrack behind it all

Prom Time

Hello! I have been MIA for a bit, but during that time at went to prom where the theme was The Great Gatsby, so here is my semi-huge prom post.

This year I decided to wear a tux because I thought it would be cool and super different plus I could't stop looking at pictures of Camilla Belle rocking a sleek white one years ago on tumblr. I ended up getting a jacket and pant from Zara. The pants fit perfectly and the jacket was a little loose, but the pants were able to balance it out. I was pretty determined to wear a true tuxedo shirt (pleats, black buttons and all) but the only one I could find was in men's sizes on amazon. On the bright side it was cheap, but I also had to do a little tailoring by myself to to get it to fit better. Thankfully I didn't totally butcher my shirt and it came together well with my ombre Nine West heels, light blue bow tie, and The Great Gatsby book clutch.

I got my nails done this time around and got my rings from Francesca's Collection

I made my own book clutch and it came out messier than I would have liked but it was pretty hard thing to do.

Cute Gatsby inspired center piece
I won best shoes =)
PS: Look out for a pros and cons list of wearing dress versus wearing a tux to prom on my tumblr and if you want to make your own book clutch here is this the link to wear I learned - Link
