A Day In Dublin

I thought of this outfit the instant I got this sweater for Christmas. Bright red and leopard print are both quite bold, but work really well together without being garish. It was too pretty to pass up so I braved the cold to wear it one of the days I was in Dublin, Ireland.

Dressed in: Eileen Fisher turtleneck (similar), TopShop skirt (similar), J. Crew tights, Be&D sneakers

Wall + Keogh has to be one of my favorite places I visited in Dublin. They had a great variety of brews to browse and I ended up with some dried mint and their Keemun blend. I had not heard of it before but it smells divine and a little smoky. With a quick Google search I saw that it's a light, Chinese black tea. I tried a mug of their Earl Grey later in the trip at Books Upstairs, and it was incredible. You can really taste the hints of orange.
Lunch was a cute affair as well with a simple tuna sandwich at Nelly’s. It was quite a homey, quiet place to relax - very cute and simple.

Sticking to a pretty jammed packed schedule, after a trip to Kilmainham Gaol my roommate and I explored Dublin Castle a little bit and took outfit pictures. I absolutely love any sort of park or green and this was wonderful to see even with the chill. More Dublin photos to come soon.

Go explore,

Off Again: Dublin, Ireland

Exactly a year ago I was leaving Paris for Rome. Just that sentence is a mind blowing for me. It'll hit me once in a while; the fact that I've studied abroad and been to so many places. It's like I can't comprehend it as a whole, so occasionally a moment will sneak up on me and leave me in awe. Finishing up that semester was rather sad because I didn't know the next time I'd be able to travel.

Fortunately, I'm currently taking a flight to Dublin. I can remember my english teacher back in high school speaking about how much she loved Dublin and so many other places she's traveled to. She made me want to travel as much as possible, even more than I already did. Now that I'm getting my chance to go I couldn't be more excited. A new city to explore and be in wonder of.

This also means more outfit posts to come, in retribution for my impromptu break, and plenty pictures of the city as well. Of course I'll be all over my Instagram if you aren't patient to see photos (I wouldn't be patient enough either.)

Bon Voyage,

Some Sun and Ballerinas

The weather has been rather sporadic lately (it's currently snowing as I'm writing this), but we did get a lovely sun filled day earlier in the week, so I decide to pile on some of my favorite new additions to my wardrobe. This top is a really fun find from H&M. It's the only top I have that has a very vintage shape and the little ballerina pattern is so fun. I wish it was a tad bit longer, but for the price it's very unique and lovely. I've been watching a ton of videos of The Royal Ballet and New York City Ballet and it's giving me a serious itch to go see another performance.
The fashion goddesses were clearly looking down on me in January, because I got this coat for $45 on a huge discount during TopShop's sale. I can't imagine I'll get a better sale find for the rest of my life. The coat is the epitome of the 70s trend right now and super warm. Maybe when the snow eases up I'll pair it with an equally 70s dress.

Hope you find some sun,
