Christmas Fashion Wish List

Christmas Wish List

In the past couple of months I've had a lot of fun thinking about my wardrobe as a whole. Being away at college and a bit of chasing trends left it feeling disjointed and lacking some function. To combat this feeling I've made a lot of lists, searched through many sites, and tried to get a little more practical in terms of what would be useful and work with everything else I already have. With all that prep work I've got a clear sense of what I want for the upcoming season that keeps me away from those impractical impulse buys.

Free People Cardigan: A big textured cardigan would be great for some warmth, but adds more interest to an outfit beyond a simple, plain piece of knit.

TopShop Plaid Skirt: I noticed I have a lot of tights and knee high socks, but no skirts to go with them. How would a Rachel Berry or Rachel Green look ever work without a few mini skirts?

Camp Carrie Bell Sleeve: Similarly, I found my shirts jump from short sleeves to sweaters, with only a few button ups in between. I think it's more a product of the weather rather than my inconsistencies, but some long sleeve blouses would be great to break up the tee shirt/sweater/coat combo.

Beyond Skin Pewter Loafers: It may be a bit trend-driven, but I've found my love of ballet flats fading. I'd rather get something a little more sturdy but still with a lot of character, like these metallic loafers.

Style Saint Bralette: My love for bralettes over bras feels like it'll never fade, but those things don't exactly last 100 wears. It's about time I've restocked.

Loeil Chrissie Earrings: I frequently forget to wear jewelry, but it doesn't stop me from lusting after these gorgeous gold earrings from Loeil.

Outdoor Voices Two-Tone Leggings Another item that just isn't in the same shape I bought it in is my workout gear. It's sad to let some of my older leggings and workout tees go, but I would love to try out some new brands that have popped up.
What are you hoping is under the tree this year?

Christmas Wish List 2016

It's that time of the year again where I start dreaming of what may be under the tree come the 25th. Here's what's been dancing around my head this month:

Christams Wishlist

Sweaters in any form are welcome when I start gearing up for serious winter weather. Black overalls have been in the back of my mind forever and I think they will be my next 'Treat Yo Self' moment. Going out clothes that aren't dresses are something that I need to add to my closet and these Free People slips could be layered so many ways.

Christmas Wishlist 2

Unfortunately, my skeleton sneakers have been destroyed, so new black sneakers are a must. Equally important are classic black heels and warm socks.

Christmas Wishlist 3

With all the shows I've watched on the Food Network, I feel ready to start amassing tons of cookbooks and messing with an immersion blender. I may not be successful, but I can guarantee a mess at least. Lotion is always a winter must, and I would like to give this brand a try.

Any Treat Yo Self items you're eyeing?

Spring Wish List 2016

Spring Wish List

We've had maybe two kind of warm days so far, but that hasn't stopped me from lusting after so many spring looks. I can't wait for the days where I don't need a coat to survive outside. While we're waiting, you can take  a look below for all the things I want in my spring wardrobe.

Boyfriend Tees

I stole some of my brother's old shirts and I've been wearing them all the time. I think I'm a little bit obsessed. They're so soft, and loose fitting and now I want those qualities in all my tees.

90s Sandals

This is one 90s trend I can get behind. I struggle to find sandals that aren't flimsy but are still cute, and I think these could work. The low heel also easily dress up any simple, spring outfit.

Blue Dresses

My love for dresses has kept on growing in the past year. Right now it's all about blue dresses.
Fun Bags

Lately I've been getting a little bored of my black Zara bag. It's a great basic, but I need something to switch things up. Florals, postcards and strawberry milk are just some of the many unique bags out there. Now I just have to find the best one for me.
Soak up some sun,

Christmas/Winter Wish List 2015

Christmas/Winter Wish List 2015

Christmas/Winter Wish List 2015 by adayinthelife featuring a turtleneck sweater

It's that time of year again! The time where I dream of sugar plum fairies and TopShop's latest new arrivals. Here's what I'm hoping is under the tree (or on sale at the end of year mark downs):

Topshop petite dress
topshop.com

I love all of these woodland themed prints TopShop has on their website right now. I swear I could live in this dress. Perfectly casual, but also put together.

Turtleneck sweater
llbean.com

I'm on my third re-watching of Gilmore Girls and I'm pretty sure I could recite it at this point. The girls are clearly infiltrating my brain and now I'm lusting after their staple of a white turtleneck (from L.L. Bean no less!) It may not be the most stylish store, not by a long shot, but it's good quality and in a larger size it'll look much more modern. And really how could I comfortable read a book underneath a tree on campus without it?

Zara navy blue pants
zara.com

So I was lusting after traditional flare jeans, but after some thinking I may want to try a cropped version instead. They're much easier to find than ones that actually have the right length for someone whose 5'2'' and they're much more geared towards a lighter spring wardrobe.

Tech accessory
nylon.com

With all the editing I've been doing lately this one just seems like a given. Darn you AP style for not worshiping the oxford comma.

Dr. Martens 1460 Lace Low Boot
drmartens.com

I've been eyeing these Dr. Martens for awhile, but it may be time for them to officially be in my closet. I've lost a bit of my love for knee length boots, and these could really get me through some snowy days.

Highlight makeup

Like the Docs, I've been eyeing the Mary Lou Manizer for awhile, but when I saw the set I was like 'why not try them all!' A little crazy I'll admit, but they're so glittery and beautiful.

Grace A Memoir
amazon.com

Another long term lust and I think it's about time for me to read this one. I'm taking my last English class this semester so I'll finally be able to hop on my TBR list starting with the wonderful Grace.

Hope your getting into the holiday cheer,
xx Jasmine
