Ugly Sweater Weather

Christmas Wish List

Zara top / Sweater / London Rebel low-heel boots / Silvertone jewelry / ASOS ring / Aviator glasses / Oxford Library -- Book Lovers' Scented Soy Candle -- His Dark...

Hello! I wanted to share some of the ugly sweaters and other bits-and-bobs I'm hoping to get this Christmas. I'm so close to being done with finals and going back home I can almost feel my own queen sized bed.

Eye Lash T-shirt: Having long full eyelashes is really fun and I love to play them up whenever I do my makeup. This shirt feels like a nice ode to my lashes.

Flower Sweater: I spotted this sweater at Zara and it definitely appeals to my girly side.

Oxford Library scented Candle: I found candles at this Etsy shop and I want them so bad! How nice is it that I become obsessed with candles when I can't have them. At least when I come home I can smell some awesome nerd smells.

Antler Ring: I saw this ring and immediately thought Baratheons in Game of Thrones -- so naturally I wanted it.

Toy Solider Sweater: Too Cute!

Fair Isle Sweater: Also a super cute Christmas themed sweater.

Chelsea Boots: It's kinda late to hop on this trend's bandwagon but I've learned the easier it is to put on a shoe the more useful it is in college.

Sunglasses: These guys have been buried in my clothing wish list for ages and I just rediscovered them. Don't know why I ignored them for so long.

Pocket Watch: Basically, one day I thought it'd be cool to have a pocket watch. That's pretty much it. I guess we'll see how far that idea goes.

Artful

shirt Gap, skirt ASOS, shoes Zara, bag Forever21, necklace JCrew

My subway reading has been Dracula lately
I got a sticker! :)
Hello! Before I went home for Thanksgiving I got to dress up and take a trip to MoMA PS1 and see the remains of 5Pointz. MoMa PS1 seemed a lot like the crazy nightmare version of MoMA. There were a few pieces that I enjoyed, but you can't really beat the hilarious security guards at the original. Afterwards, it was a bit heartbreaking to see the poorly executed paint job on top of the graffiti at 5Pointz. Unfortunately,  somethings are just out of our hands now.
I hope all of you with finals coming up are surviving - good luck!

Everyday

sweater and tank top H&M, jeans Gap, shoes GH Bass&co, necklace my great grandma's

Hello! I am almost done with my first semester of college, and I've gotten into a pretty sweet routine. Here's a pretty typical outfit for my day-to-day going to class wear. Now I just need to hope that finals will go by smoothly . . . we'll see about that.

Comfy and Cozy

Hello! Earlier in the year I realized that I really needed a coat that could last me a couple of years, and keep me warm throughout winter while still being stylish. I ended up with this Burton coat because I couldn't think of anything that could possibly be warmer than a coat from a ski/snowboarding company. Athletic wear has come a long way since it's origins. Burton has some really great, sleek designs that avoid making me look like a marshmallow all winter. Some added pluses are this particular coat has so many pockets, which are handy when I'm not in the mood to carry a purse or it's just more practical not to bring one. The coat is also made up of recycled Mountain Dew bottles. This is a coat I can definitely love for awhile.

Are You Old Enough To Be Here?

The live art exhibit that was going on while we were there

Monet

Hello! Awhile back my friends and I took a trip to the Museum of Modern Art after grabbing a bite at the Shake Shack (super delicious by the way). I love how as you go through any museum, it's kind of the perfect opportunity to be with your thoughts. Plus it's really hard not to like MOMA when the security guards are so hilarious.

Halloween

Grim Reaper was roaming our dining hall the day before

Fun Halloween blood drive

"Better call Saul" from my costume

The Men in Black

Banksy (one of my favorites)

Hello! I thought I'd share a few pictures from my Halloween this year. Not only did I go to the huge parade in the Village, but my school did a few cool stuff too. I hope your Halloween was just as fun.
PS- sorry there isn't a picture of my costume (I went as Jesse from, Breaking Bad). We were running kind of late and didn't have time.
