Suddenly Everything is Right

Hello!
As I mentioned in my previous sneaker post, one of the purchases I needed to make before heading off to college was a pair or two of sneakers since I am going to do a lot more walking then I usually do. My whole shoe collection is kind of inconsistent, much like my wardrobe, due to having a school uniform for an odd period of time so I also need to get some classic shoes that I wear all the time as well. Here is what I've got so far.
I have been lusting over these Be&D skeleton sneakers (found here) since I saw them on Teen Vogue's website ages ago and it is fulfilling to finally have them. Plus the laces are super cute ribbons.

When I saw these palladium boots (found here) on lookbook.nu I thought they looked pretty cool, but I was unsure of whether I could actually pull them off but I'm glad I ended up getting them. The sole is super strong and I can tell they will not only last very long but will be comfortable to walk in for long periods of time. Also, check out their brand story, it's super cool.

I have gone through many black flats in past years. Most recently I opted to buy super cheap ones because it was one of the easiest things to wear with my uniform and walk to school in - rendering them destroyed at the end of the school year. I thought the hunt for a good flat was going to be tough and also make me spend wayyyy more then I wanted to, but miraculously I found these  Zara flats (found here) through fashiolista.com and they were on sale - double score!
What do you think of my new 'wear all the time' shoes? I only have a month, but I'm going to try and do more college based post. Thoughts?
I hope everyone is making the most out of their summer.

Hello!
I wasn't planing on doing an outfit post but while getting dressed on Saturday I decided to take the exposed bra trend a little farther than I had been wearing it before. I think it came out pretty well with out being overexposing. What do you think of the trend- too much or just a little fun?

Hair Love

Hello!
Between running off to orientation and the heat wave my area is dealing with, this post has been delayed wayyy to long - sorry. But here it is now :). I wanted to make this post to just celebrate a long struggle I've had with my hair (that will probably continue forever). I feel like it's a pretty universal thing to go through periods of hating your hair, but I think I've grown to love it more as I take care of it more. Don't be fooled, it still can be super difficult to manage, but I want to look at the good things such as actually being okay with wearing it down when it's curly (which I haven't done for over 5 years at least) and finding products that I love. The last one is super difficult, especially for me, because being bi-racial we are not usually marketed to at all and our hair tends to  varies so much from person to person. Hopefully if I continue to try and actually work with my hair and grow it out some more I'll want to share more pictures like these and find awesome products and treatments that make managing my hair less of a chore. I hope everyone's able to beat the heat this week.

Hello!
It has gotten SUPER hot where I live so yesterday all I really wanted to wear was something easy and simple. Both the top and bottom are super light so nothing felt heavy. I particularly like these shorts because they were a part of H&M's conscious collection. I checked out another cool collection yesterday; FEED for Target. I picked up two pieces and I hope to show them off soon, maybe when the weather isn't so brutal.

Fourth of July

Hello!
I just wanted to make a quick post to wish everyone in America a happy Fourth of July and show you my red, white, and blue outfit. I am at my dad's at the moment so I took advantage of all of the new scenery. Enjoy the fireworks.

Rhode Island Day 3

Sandals- Jessica Simpson
"I fancy the lead singer" tank- H&M
Sleeveless motorcycle jacket - H&M
Hello!
I feel like the third day I was in Rhode Island could be summed up by what I ate. A chocolate and strawberry crepe, iced green tea, and fried dough; sweet, refreshing and simple. That day I visited one of my friends who goes to Brown University. It was super nice to get to meet up with her and talk, as well as see the campus a bit (it is SO pretty!). Despite my delicious food my brother's soccer game was really intense (see 3rd picture), but hey I got to get dinner from a food truck for the first time and that was pretty cool =)

Rhode Island Day 2

Hello!
On day two of my trip an early morning game plus rainy, cold weather made for a glum start to the day. Once we got back my mom didn't feel well (a cold she has now passed on to me >.<) and my brother just wanted to sleep all day, so I just took obscure photos of myself around the hotel.

I brought Rookie Yearbook 1 to read while on the trip, what are you reading? Any recommendations?
