I am a Warrior

This past weekend I toughened up and did something slightly insane. With lots of convincing and family support I ran the Warrior Dash. The dash is essentially a hard core, adult version of your favorite childhood, gym obstacle courses. There was a lot of mud, sweat, and blood, but it was also incredibly fun. The atmosphere of competition and support made the experience one of happiness and a little bonding since I'm going away to college next year. I wholeheartedly encourage any one who is thinking about it to participate. You will not regret it as long as you have friends around, and are willing to push yourself a little farther for some fun. Here are a few shots from the weekend. My normal fashion posts will continue this weekend.

I Want My MTV

Sweater: H&M Jeans: Simply Vera by Vera Wang Boots: Zigi SOHO Hair Tie: H&M

I believe it's acceptable to say at this point that I collect tops that have the MTV logo on them. Even though at the moment my collection is very small, only four, I always love stumbling upon them and I'm always eager to have more. Today I'm going to see my brother play in his soccer game, so my outfits a little warmer with the boots and sweater because it's a night game. And like every other outfit I've been putting together recently, it gives off a little tough vibe that I didn't intend for it to originally have (though I very much love how the black on black is making me look taller). I'll just say I'm going for a slightly 90's grunge but 80's print vibe. haha. I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, I will be off seeing if I will become a warrior at the Warrior Dash.  Bye.

Dots

Top: H&M Shorts: Forever21 Belt: H&M Purse: Converse Shoes: Christian Siriano for payless

Oh look! The lovely return of my only peplum shirt! This past week has been a roller coaster; do not be so foolish to think senior year is all lollipops and rainbows. Moving on from my terrible luck, I finally got around to taking pictures. I originally wanted to do them earlier in the week, but it turned out to be a blessing because the weather was gorgeous (even I wanted to stay outside). This is probably the last time you'll see me in shorts for awhile seeing as Fall is fast approaching. Crossed fingers that I will have time to take picture through out the school year.

P.S. I cut myself shaving so I had a batman band aid that day.

Fall Wishlist

Fall Wishlist

I thought it'd be a good idea to share some of the things I'm looking forward to purchasing this Fall because tonight where I live we're going to get a ton of rain that will drop the temperature, and humidity, to much cooler, fall-like ones. So, I am trying to get back  into using polyvore.com  and made this set. My wishlist includes:
Bow ties- particularly ones that have weird novelty ones to add a bit of fun to outfits.
Velvet leggings-NEVER WORN JUST AS PANTS! they add a cool texture unlike normal leggings, and will keep me relatively warm in the Winter.
Sneakers- I haven't worn sneaker as a fashionable piece to complete an outfit in years, but recently I've been  drawn to interesting prints and graphics like the skeleton.
Cut-out dress- I realize that these have been around for awhile now but I still want one.
Knee high socks- I just stumbled across pictures of people wearing them and now I want some. Hopefully they wont look to school girl-ish.
Oxfords- I essentially destroyed the ones I had last year and want knew ones. I think they're a staple in my closet now
Chunky gold watch- literally the only type of watch I've ever seen myself actually wearing.
Velvet (and other odd) nail polish- I cant actually make intricate designs on my nails so I will take the cool Ciate textured nail polishes.

Have fun creating your fall wishlist!

Summer's End

I have completed two days of my Senior year of High School and it has been everything from hating life to loving my classes and teacher (it's really a spectrum of emotions). So to help this new transition I wanted to do a wrap up of the summer by mentioning various things that I loved and made my summer wonderful. Even though mine wasn't the most exhilarating, I always enjoy just taking the time to relax and explore random things that I just can't get to when I'm rushing around doing school related business. So, here we go, let the randomness of  my summer commence.
