Happy Holidays!
Just wanted to say a quick Merry Christmas to whomever is celebrating, and if you are not then have a super lovely day. For the holidays I wanted to share my favorite Christmas sweater. It's just from Forever21 but I wear it every year. Bye ~Jasmine

Oh, The Places You'll Go
For the senior year trip at my school we went to New York. Like most fashion folk I love going to the city so much! I have only been a few times, but each one I vividly remember and I never want to go home. As a class, we went to Madame Tussaud's, then we broke off to do what ever we wanted around Time Square. My friends and I had a lot of fun eating lunch, doing a bit of shopping and drinking Starbucks. After the jump are various pictures of the day. I hope everyone is on vacation and loving it!
PS- The title comes from a Dr. Seuss book that always reminds me of New York

Back Here Again
Dress: Kirna Zabete for target
Shoes: Cristian Siriano for payless
Necklace: gift
This week I had induction for my schools National Honor Society. This time around, being Vice President, I had to give a speech. It was nerve wracking, but I'm glad I wasn't completely terrified. Thankfully, I got through the whole thing without a total mistake =). Now the fun part was my outfit. Staying true to my theme last year (seen here), I wore a very mod dress. Even though it is kind of shape less the fact that it was short made it work and let me show off my legs a bit without being inappropriate in front of parents and faculty. Plus who can resist a dress with pockets?! I only wore a necklace because I didn't want to be distracted on stage, and I liked how it only peeked through the zipper.
PS. Also in reference to last years post, my brother said my arms looked really nice when I held the podium during my speech. He has a new goal at the gym haha

High Knees, Heinie, Knee Highs
Shorts: H&M Socks: ASOS Necklace: Forever 21 Sneakers: Converse
I attempted to come up with a clever title for this post, but that didn't work out so, excuse the nonsense above. Today is actually the one year anniversary of my blog!! It is still a small baby, but I'm, of course, very proud of it and hope it wont be a challenge to keep it up in the upcoming years as I go on to college. I would also like to thank anyone who reads or has commented on my blog. I love you all!
As for this outfit I'm not sure how, but I ended somewhere in between a 90's lone wolf and Clueless . . . am I the only one that sees that? Well either way it was a treat to actually wear sneakers, when my feet are usually shoved into something more stylish and it was fun to start messing with my new over the knee socks. Thanks again! =)

Preppy Pegasus
pants: J. Crew boots: H&M necklace: Forever 21
This is the outfit I wore to Thanksgiving. This year I went to my dad's and it was really weird taking pictures their for the first time. I'm so not used to it, but I think when it gets warmer the pictures will be better outside. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend or at least a good weekend in general.
P..S. sorry for the messy closet, my room at my dads is no where near finished

Wishing on a Star
Sweater: H&M Skirt: Francescas collection Flats: H&M
I have been actively avoiding, and yet some how proactive, about my college applications. I only have two more left but the craziness of my school's guidance department is stressing me out. Some of that stressed has been relieved with the knowledge that I can get back to blogging. This outfit is from a little event at my school to honor students that passed their AP exams last year. Not quite dressed up yet, but the touch of glitter shows promise of fun holiday outfits. I also can't get over the print on this skirt. they are just the most perfect stars. And to nerd-up this post a little bit, I have recently been obsessed with this website Here. It only works on Google Chrome (sorry =( ) but it is so cool to see pictures of so many stars. My goal is to know a fair amount before the New Year. Astronomy is cool =)

Sweet Unicorn
Top: Urban Outfitters Cardigan & Hat: Target Jeans: Gap Boots: BX by Bronx
Yesterday was just an all around lovely day. I don't usually wear hats, but after having this blue one around from Christmas gift last year I decided I'd try to tackle my fear and try it out. It came out surprising well and (literally) topped off a very cozy outfit. With an early start I got to chuck a pumpkin with the help of a few of my friends who are in a robotics club. It was very cool, even though my pumpkin was rather rotten, and I can't wait for Thanksgiving when the Discovery Channel airs the huge, hardcore Pumpkin Chuckin. I also got to do a little shopping that gave me a lot of ideas for upcoming purchases and outfits. Not to mention a very sweet chocolate peanut butter milkshake from Johnny Rockets.
Now most of my energy is being put towards getting ready for this hurricane that is hitting soon. My area is just getting the outskirts of it, but I might be without power for awhile so I have no clue when my next post will be =(. Despite this I'll try to update frequently on my tumblr and twitter through my phone. I hope everyone stays safe and if you are far away from Hurricane Sandy then have a lovely week.

Catch up
I've been meaning to post, but I obviously haven't (grrrr), so this is a bit of an update of what has gone on for most of the month.
1. I went to my last Homecoming Dance. The dance isn't a very big deal at my school so I kept it kind of simple. I picked up a little dress at Macys (In my favorite color to wear!) and chunky bracelets from Charming Charlies. I also wore red peep-toe Nine West heels.
3. I don't have a picture to share, but I did (finally) get my braces off. So there is a strong possibility of seeing many more smiles from me.
I hope you are all having a lovely week.

I am a Warrior
This past weekend I toughened up and did something slightly insane. With lots of convincing and family support I ran the Warrior Dash. The dash is essentially a hard core, adult version of your favorite childhood, gym obstacle courses. There was a lot of mud, sweat, and blood, but it was also incredibly fun. The atmosphere of competition and support made the experience one of happiness and a little bonding since I'm going away to college next year. I wholeheartedly encourage any one who is thinking about it to participate. You will not regret it as long as you have friends around, and are willing to push yourself a little farther for some fun. Here are a few shots from the weekend. My normal fashion posts will continue this weekend.

I Want My MTV
Sweater: H&M Jeans: Simply Vera by Vera Wang Boots: Zigi SOHO Hair Tie: H&M
I believe it's acceptable to say at this point that I collect tops that have the MTV logo on them. Even though at the moment my collection is very small, only four, I always love stumbling upon them and I'm always eager to have more. Today I'm going to see my brother play in his soccer game, so my outfits a little warmer with the boots and sweater because it's a night game. And like every other outfit I've been putting together recently, it gives off a little tough vibe that I didn't intend for it to originally have (though I very much love how the black on black is making me look taller). I'll just say I'm going for a slightly 90's grunge but 80's print vibe. haha. I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, I will be off seeing if I will become a warrior at the Warrior Dash. Bye.

Dots
Oh look! The lovely return of my only peplum shirt! This past week has been a roller coaster; do not be so foolish to think senior year is all lollipops and rainbows. Moving on from my terrible luck, I finally got around to taking pictures. I originally wanted to do them earlier in the week, but it turned out to be a blessing because the weather was gorgeous (even I wanted to stay outside). This is probably the last time you'll see me in shorts for awhile seeing as Fall is fast approaching. Crossed fingers that I will have time to take picture through out the school year.
P.S. I cut myself shaving so I had a batman band aid that day.
